This magnificent shrine, DAMBANA NG KAGITINGAN (Shrine of Bravery) is located in Mt. Samat in Bataan (4 hours from Manila) - about 2,000 ft above sea level.

1. The great cross is a symbol of sacrifice of those who gave their lives and limbs in during World War II. It is also the viewing place 450 ft above the peak. You can get to the top through a lift in 30 seconds.

2. You can see a fantastic view of Manila Bay and the Corregidor Island.

3. You can see a distant view of the Mt. Pinatubo.

4. The museum is rich in war history - Death March, "I shall return", weaponry, etc.
