Gerald Emmett Cardinal Carter, the Archbishop emeritus of Toronto, died Sunday on April 6, 2003 after a brief illness. He was 91, was Born in Montreal, he began his life of service in the Roman Catholic Church nearly 68 years ago, when he became a priest. His death of Cardinal Carter in which he was a wise and visionary leader, whose influence was felt not only in our Church St. Paul The Apostle and the Maltese Community, but in the wider society. As bishop of this Diocese, he was highly respected, and deeply loved by those who knew him personally.
