Tasik Bera merdeka shout out..that was what its all about. We celebrated our Merdeka Independence Day in the middle of Malaysia's largest lake.

The next day, we left for Berkelah waterfalls in Pahang - drove into the wrong 4WD trail, found fresh elephant dung, even heard elephant trumpet....and finally after finding the correct trail - we trekked in the pouring rain to campsite.

i was there for one month back in 1997 with Raleigh International. we did a conservation project there, assisting wetlands international msia (n of cosm the semelai orang asli) in their research. recently, our group TJJ did a jetty building with the locals and constructed a 64foot jetty to serve the camp Tahang.

I like the boat riding!
I have a Tasik Bera article published in worldisround. I was there early this year and the sunset is gorgeous, and the boat trip is fun and exciting! Thanks for sharing your photos. I haven't tried 4WD yet, too bad.
