Anyhow, it was upon arriving at Pattani when the woman we're with (who by the way was so re-assuring all the time we're stranded) invited us to stay at their place. She was the first one to be dropped-off by the taxi driver at her house. But since Pattani's a big town with several hotels, we politely refuse her invitation 'coz it was already too much! That is, too much kindness that we didn't want to take advantage of. In turn, she simply told us that if there'll be any problem, we can simply go to her house which is nice & new since she's a public health nurse. The taxi driver took us to a big & clean yet cheap hotel which charged cheaply. Folks, that's how GOOD the Thais really are that it's perfectly safe to travel here even late at nite! - & I have a lot more "Thai goodness" story in my Northern Thailand articles which I hope to publish after this southern Thailand presentation.
