Visited sunny Sudan for two weeks in Sep 04 for two weeks. In some ways was the same, and in other ways was very different, to what I imagined it would be. We (Shane my boss and I) arrived in Khartoum at midnight and were transported to our hotel - the lovely?? Meridian. The next day we went to the office and had an orientation of the city. It was very dusty and drab, with the only real colours being mosques and the amazing dresses some of the women wear.
