Most people who visit Nepal keep their itinerary restricted to Kathmandu and its surrounding areas. Of course, the very adventurous head straight for Mt. Everest after arriving at Kathmandu. We, like most tourists, restricted ourselves in and around Kathmandu in our previous trips to Nepal. But in the last trip a few years ago, we included Pokhra and Royal Chitwan National Park in our itinerary. Pokhra was beautiful. It is a lakeside resort surrounded by hills.
