These photos was taken from Chew Jetty, Penang on 9th day of Lunar Calender during Chinese New Year. The local chinese especially the Fujian ( Hokkien) will be celebrate the Jade Emperor deity's birthday.

The actual prayer will start at 12midnite on the 8th day and will last for about 3 hours. Offerings will be served and Joss sticks will start burning to invite Him down from heaven for a scrumptious dinner. There will be two sugarcane sticks to remind them of His Mercy.
