*In a way, it was kind-of sad how the flourishing Hindu kingdom of Indonesia fell one by one (island by island) to Islam much like the Byzantine empire in Europe. I mean, the demise of the Indians in the Americas & the Jewish Holocaust are sad too.

However, Indian & Jewish culture still exists up to this very day whereas the rich culture that was Byzantium & Hindu in this region are just a distant memory that's quite unlikely to be back. But that's the way of the world, I guess.

*No offense to Islam or the Jews & Indians, I'm not be-littling their Holocausts. Rather, I'm simply pointing-out how really sad it is to see a culture gets totally wiped-out in the name of conquest & conversion.
