Quebec City: Charles Bray too this picture of the Statue of Del Honorable Honore Mercier in which in he was born, in Saint-Athanase of Iberville, October 15th 1840, the same year as Chapleau and a year before Laurier. He died, in Montreal, October 30th 1894, at the age of 54 years. Like Chapleau, and after him, powerful speaker and skilful political head, it enjoyed in the province, several years, of a great prestige and a considerable influence. Honore Mercier was one of the co-founders of the Party National in 1871 was elected to the House of Commons 1872-1874.
