(See the church?) *X-tianity was brought here in Indonesia during the Colonial Times initially by the Portuguese in the 15th, then by the Dutch +1 century later when they defeated the Portuguese. However, Islam was already well-established here &#38; that&#39;s why it thrived unlike in neighboring Philippines my home country where the Spaniards easily converted the locals to X-tianity since the people there were &#34;pagan&#34; - nature worshippers (e.g. sun worship, rain, wind, &#38; etc.) I guess it&#39;s a lot harder to convert people who already have an established religion especially if it&#39;s a strong-willed, strong-convicted religion like Islam. </div></nolayer></noembed>
