Prior to travelling here, I was quite apprehensive of the kind of "grave incidents" we'll encounter since Indonesia's always on the not-so-positive news. But to my surprise, it's pretty darn peaceful here since the turmoils (like in the Philippines) are just confined to small, remote areas that tourist can simply avoid. In turn, the locals we met complains of how their country has been villified by the international media to which I surely agrees & symphatize with since it's also happening in the Philipines. Ah, but it's negative news that ultimately sells after all whereas featuring daily, normal life is boring & thus, won't sell to the world!
