The answer lies in the media who as we all know, really does exxagerate news! In Indonesia's case, the media only reports of turmoils, rallies, [& etc.] of people in Islamic outfit.

Such are the images you see in the newspapers, news magz, T.V. & etc. when the truth is - they're only a tiny fraction of the overall normal, daily life here.

Now if I'm to make a comparison to clarify the point, then I can only think of my home country (the Philippines) whereby the horrific actions of the Abu Sayaff group has ruined the country's image.

But the whole truth is - the Abu's are simply a very tiny fraction of the overall composition & events of the country since they only operate at a small area located at the remotest, furthest, southernmost point of the Philippines.
