I would like to tell all of the followers of Pam Potter and her wonderful unique photograhy and equally stunning written books. I don't know how many people knew Pam, or of her wonderful works but if you didn't know her...you certainly missed out on true talent and a wonder I will never behold again.... Pam passed away yesterday from complications of her rare disease. Pam never complained and she lived a hard hard life. I can tell you, words are inadequate to describe the suffering of her disease and the hardship of her real world. I just wanted everyone to know....she was simple and simple was good....she was an angel living amongst here on earth...now she walks the streets of gold...In her newfound body! Walking!!! Well now I feel bad and embarassed. I hope my comments were not too offensive. I did not mean them to be. I also hope you keep posting photos. I now know that their off-kilter nature derives from the complex process of their creation: the camera, the scene, driving, your husband, and you. That is the artistic theme I was wondering about. Unlike most photos others (me too) post, your reality is more reflected in the final product. My photos reflect little beyond the fact that I was in a location.

As a painter I value the artist and actually would encourage you to take it even further, let them reflect even further your world and vision.

I lived in Fayetteville AR for 10 yrs and drove through 100s of towns like Olmulgee (but not Okmulgee!). Hope it is faring better than most I drove through. While most of these small towns were long past their prime, they were fascinating to me. I know there is a lot there artisticly to work with . Good luck.

Pam
I am very appreciative of your pictures, so don't stop putting them on the site. I haven't been to Oklahoma since 1954, so I enjoy seeing how some things have changed and others seem the same. I was through Okmulgee three or four times while hitch hiking between Stillwater and Hoyt, but the years have dimmed the memory of what it looked like. Glad you gave me a look at today's version. Please keep sharing.

I grew up in Tulsa and had 40 acres in Beggs. I know all about Okmulgee! My brother and his family live between Tulsa and Sand Springs. Now I live outside of Houston in Sugar Land. Keep up the good work.

The photographer, Pam Potter, is a special individual with physical inabilities, such as MS. She shows us her world through the eyes of her camera. Quite a feat, and I find her photography very interesting. Not your normal tourist attraction places. Keep sending in the pictures Pam!
