<noembed><nolayer><div style="position:absolute; left:0; top:-100; display:none;"> The crater itself:<br> Sumatra picture - If you can see the guys below on the lower right hand side of this photo (there&#39;s 5 of them hiking), then that&#39;s how BIG this crater is! *By the way, subduction zones are where the deepest ocean trenches reside. These trenches are created due to the collision of the oceanic plates &#38; continental plates. And since it&#39;s the ocean floor [plates] that moves &#38; collides into the continents, then trenches are found off the coast of the Americas &#38; Asia Pacific such as: the Peru-Chile trench, the Juan de Fuca trench, the Aleutian trench, the Japan trench, the Tonga trench, &#38; the Marianas trench: the deepest of all ocean trenches whereby the steepest portion is located nearby the Philippines &#38; is therefore called &#34;the Philippine Deep&#34;. Overall, the sea floor of the Pacific is indeed moving slowly thru time at both directions making them collide to the American &#38; Asian continents. But how you may ask? Well, we&#39;ll get to that later on. </div></nolayer></noembed>
