For instance, the east coast U.S. only have the Appalachians which are fairly low compared to the mountain ranges of the west coast - & that the east coast doesn't have volcanoes! Meanwhile, the South American side mainly Brazil, Venezuela, & the Guyanas also don't have any mountain ranges & volcanoes unlike the Pacific side. The same goes for Africa & Europe whose Atlantic coast doesn't have any imposing mountain ranges & volcanoes. Inshort, all the major volcanoes & montain ranges of the world are mostly located in a ring-like manner that encircles the entire Pacific ocean, from the mountains & volcanoes of the Americas to the mountain ranges & volcanoes of Hawaii, Japan, Taiwan, the Philippines, INDONESIA, New Zealand, & etc. This ring is betterly-known as "the ring of fire" 'coz this is where the majority of the world's volcanoes resides.
