Arizona LDS Temple Christmas Lights

LDS.- Stands for "The church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints". The Arizona Temple was built before the city of Mesa was established as a city, built by Mormon Pioneers and they were the ones that started to populate the area. Each year, they have a beautiful display of lights around the Visitors center, where everyone is welcome to visit and learn about the LDS Church. Just a comment
To those that have discovered my article. I only wanted to share some beautiful views of the Arizona Temple, I didn't mean to make anyone uncomfortable with them. If you want to know more or not, it is your choice, I would never in this life force anyone to believe what they don't want to. I have lots of friends that do not believe in God and some that do but do not go to any church. I love them just the same and appreciate their wonderful spirits. Just enjoy the differences.

Dear Shana, did it ever occur to you the Jesus Christ also did missionary work? If he had waited for people to come to him, his miracles would be fewer in number. He was under so much persecution, just as our members of these latter days are. I'm sorry you feel the way you do. Dear Jim, I'm afraid you have it backwards. How could we be Anti-God, Anti-Christ if we believe in both as well as the Holy Spirit? And if that wasn't enough, why would we have the name of The Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter-day Saints?

Shauna, anyone who has a religion which they believe has the power to save people from their sins and give them eternal joy with their families, would surely feel duty bound out of love to do all they can to share this with others. If I had discovered a cure for Cancer, I would tell everyone! One of the LDS articles of Faith says that we resepct everyone's right to worship who, what and how they want. Someone asked what LDS stands for it stands for Latter Day Saints, which is short for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I love the Arizona temple, it is beautiful. It truly is the house of the Lord.

The Mormons have it backwards. It's not LDS but LSD. Only a non-Christain would photograph a pagan temple. Mormon is a cult and nothing short of it. Anti-God Anti-Christ! The photos clearly depict lacking in quality and fitness for Christian well doers!

Ah, but of course!!! How could've the abbreviation puzzled me when I see the "Church of Christ of Latter Day Saints" not only here in the U.S. but also in the Philippines & other countries! It's one of the fasting growing sect of Christianity due to the guys in white long sleeves & black [or dark blue] pants a.k.a. missionaries who's hardwork & devotion are really ADMIRABLE for they go door to door either walking or riding a bicycle [usually in 2] under a scorching-hot sun. But the "LDS" abbrev. really got me!

"LDS" is an abbreviation for the real name of the Mormon church. The real name is the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Sains, so LDS stands for Latter-day Saints I guess.

Forgive my ignorance or if I simply missed it in the pics but what does LDS stands for? You mentioned of Mormon Pioneers & so, B.Y.U. & Joseph Smith is what came to mind rightaway but it doesn't match LDS. (Shows the scant knowledge I have about the Mormon church though I try.)
