*The Banaue rice terraces is the grand daddy of all the rice terraces of the world that it's included in the "7 Wonders of the Natural World." Now I don't know why it was included since these rice terraces were man-made +2,000 yrs. ago & therefore, not really natural.

But anyway, this is one site where the terraces are preserved & it's so vast that what you see in this pic is only a portion of it.

*The town you see below has plenty of cheap accomodations[only +$1] though very rustic. If you want modernity, then the numerous hotels/motels are 20 km. away by public transport.
