Can Cun itself, has no cultural value but it does have beautiful beaches. Even if they were built to satisfy tourists, they accomplish their goal. Calid and calm turquoise waters, magnificent hotels and enough activities. If you are into culture, then visit the State/s pyramids and other of Quintana Roo/s or Yucatan/s historical sites. If you truly want to be safe and comfortable, close to the nice beaches, go to a major hotel such as the Camino Real. A MUST MUST MUST if to take a local tour to the coral reefs and snorkle. Nice transportation, and excellent food at the site. To get a closer look at Mexican culture and traditions, visit X Caret. There are buses leaving from Can Cun quite often, or rent a car. It`s about an hour drive and you`ll get to this exotic beach/pool/underwater caves. Sometimes it`s too crowded but you`ll enjoy the experience. Don`t forget to go swim inside the caves!!!!!
