Bicol......my Home
I miss Bicol..my home. I was born here but my family left for Manila when I was just 5 yrs old. Did not re-visit till after high school. Spent a few summers here to re-kindle the kinship and ties with my relatives. Left for America when I was 21 and except for a few short visits, I've been away for over 40 yrs. I will be retiring soon and have decided to spend the rest of my life to the place a longed for. I have such an affinity for the place and I feel this is where I belong. I really miss Bicol since my family left. I feel like a child who has been deprived of pleasures and would like to go back to the womb which is Bicolandia. This is where I'd like to be buried with my father and my ancestors. Mabuhay ka Bicolandia. Mabalos tabi.

My roots
I love the place, the smell of the morning breeze, the food, the people, the simplicity of life in Bicol, the majestic view of Mt. Mayon...I just love everything that is "Bicol"! The last time I went home was just a brief stay. It was too short. That was back in January 2008. 10 years I've waited to see Bicol again, 10 years. Daculon nang nagbago, haluyon na akong dai naguli. Nakakalungkot, di ko alam kung bakit pinaabot ko ng ganun katagal na di ako umuwi, ang dami kong na miss. I'm sick n tired of the hassles and bustles of the city life. I just wanna move back to the countryside, to Bicol. It is my home away from home, my place of Zen. Before I die, I want to go back to Bicol for the last time and reminisce the good old days and the fun I had when I was younger. There, I will wait for the inevitable. When I die, I want Bicol to be my final resting place, to be returned to the ground where my ancestors used to live, to be one with them, in spirit.

My son's volocano
My son was recently born on Polangui and my wife resides their. Born 10.29.07. Our backyard is a view to mayon and is the most awesome thing to see.i WOULD WAKE EARLY IN THE MORNINGS WITH MY SON TO FEEL THE mYAON BREEZ. i TELL MY SON THIS IS YOUR MOUNTAIN. A very special place to be. Polangui also sits below mayon. Maraming salamat.

Magayon Mt. Mayon
I love the pictures...indeed, very amazing and the perfect cone of Mt. Mayon is quiet interesting knowing that there were lots of volcanic eruptions happening in the past centuries. I had been there in Cagsawa Church ruins last October 2004. I love Legazpi City and the cultural preservation ot the churches, building and even houses. I would love to visit Albay again with my husband.Hope that recent typhoon will heal the pain it caused to the residents of the province. arjho-Atlanta, Gerogia, USA.

Magnificent!
Magnificent! Great place to go... I've been here because I was born in a nearby city. I had a picture climbing the historical Cagsawa Ruins with my sister, Jeiffel. Last 1993, I also experienced watching one of the most major eruptions of Mayon Volcano for 2 days and 2 nights...that was very unforgettable! Now, I'm living in Virginia, U.S.A. "The most perfect cone shaped volcano"
Even if Mt. Mayon lost several hundred feet of its summit from the past eruptions, it's still almost a perfect cone shape, as seen in your pics. So many tourists mainly Europeans visits that majestic volcano, some climbs it for 3-4 days. Unfortunately, a few tourists died doing it, the last I heard was 2 French men. The Philippines & Indonesia has so many volcanos which some considers a blessing, others considers a curse. Mabuhay!
