The Wasatch Mountains are probably the best-known mountains in Utah (although not the highest). The range extends from near the Idaho border, south to Mt. Nebo near Nephi, Utah. The major cities of Ogden, Provo and Salt Lake City are located in the valleys at the base of these mountains.
