Mass tourism first came to Majorca, an island in the Meditteranean in the 1950's. Since then the island has prospered with the growth of tourism in purposely built resorts. Most of these tourists don't see the capital Palma, because they spend their whole holiday at the beach. (In fact some don't even see the sun because they spend their whole holiday in nightclubs!) The purpose of this article therefore is to show a bit of the culture and sights in the capital city.
