I already forgot the name of the place, but there's a couple of blocks in downtown Hong Kong where Filipinos meet every Sunday, from early a.m. till late at nite. The weekly meeting is a big emotional, psychological, & social support for them, especially for those who are new to H.K.

Of course, being away from your homecountry, your family, your children, & other loved ones is an extremely sad experience. Hence, it helps to get as much support as you can from your fellow countrymen even in just 1 day a week.

And since we're here in H.K. even for just a few days, it will be a great deal for our female cousin to see us. Thus, we looked for her among the big crowd of mainly Filipina women. By the way, our cousin had to leave the Philippines & her 2 young kids in order to work here in H.K. & provide for her kids since jobs are scarce in the Philippines.
