Jollibee dominates the Philippines & also has outlets in countries where there's a substantial number of Filipinos either contract workers (e.g. H.K., the Middle-East, & etc.) or as immigrants such as in the U.S., Canada, & etc.

In California, there are such stores in San Francisco, Los Angeles, & other smaller cities. Of course, eating in a Jollibee overseas also brings a little bit of the Philippines to overseas Filipino workers or migrants.

But why are Filipinos scattered all-over the globe? The answer lies in poor economy due to the very corrupt, old Marcos regime which amassed billions of $$$ of ill-gotten wealth for 21 years [1965-1986] & took it out of the country thereby bankrupting the Philippines.
