I mean, our parents will send us money (money they other wise can't earn in the Philippines), but we were on our own! As for our sister seen in this pic, she was 17 & the eldest amongst us, but she was already in college & living in a dorm in Manila [50 km. away]. Hence, she only got to be with us during the week-ends sometimes not being able to come home especially when she had exams. Unfortunately, there was no internet yet back then while overseas phone calls were very expensive unlike nowadays where it's so cheap. Hence, communication with the parents was done via mail which takes 2-3 weeks back then. *Meet the boys: shirtless me, Sonny below me (he passed away in 2001), Ladi our elder brother beside me, Rico our youngest beside Sonny.
