Indeed, there are always sad news in the Philippines of female overseas worker who comes back home in a coffin, never to see her loved ones, family, & children again. And that's why going abroad on a "leap of faith" can be a sad plight, at times. *Our cousin here in H.K. didn't last long, she left even without being paid for her last couple of months of work. She told us her situation is really bad, though you also have to give her employer the benefit of a doubt. Meaning, there maybe a different side to the story, or that things might be seen differently by the employer (maybe her bosss thinks she's lazy or that her boss probably have different expectations), or that it could simply be a case of "the differences in culture." That what is normal treatment for her boss is already mean & inhumane to my cousin. Whatever the truth is, the bottom line is - the plight of the overseas workers can be sad, at times. Not everything has a happy ending.
