*The majority of Filipino contract workers here in H.K. are women while the men probably makes up only 5%, unlike in Saudi Arabia & the Mid-East where it's the reverse. Most of the women here are caretaker of children or the elderly while the Filipino men in the Mid-East mostly works in oil refineries.

Anyway, it seemed like for every 100 Filipinos we saw here, there's only 4-5 men. Overall, there's thousands of Filipinos around this place on any given Sunday, greatly outnumbering the Chinese!

And most likely, half of these women are married & have kids back in the Philippines just like our cousin. Hence, you can easily imagine how sad it can get being here for 2-3 years without seeing your family. And so, gathering with your fellow Filipinos even for just 1 day a week somewhat helps.
