- It was so nice of these women to invite us to eat with them. But then again, hospitality especially with food are so typical of the Filipinos even if they don't have much. But as for the critics here in Hong Kong, they contend that not only do Filipinos hang-out by the numbers, they complain that the Filipinos eat breakfast, lunch, & dinner all-over the place making downtown a big picnic area. (Well, to each his own:) *One well-known joke here among the few Filipino men is - if you're a Filipino guy, H.K. is the place to be as you'll have 3-5 pretty girlfriends (or even more) which you can only dream about in the ol' country. Now that made us want to stay longer in H.K. after hearing such a joke!:) Ooopppsss, no offense to my fellow Filipina sisters, Filipinas are actually well-reserved, very conservative, & quite loyal to their man even if he's just a boyfriend & not someone she's married too & thus, off-limits!
