Sightseeing in London is not complete without seeing the residence of the Royal Family, the Buckingham Palace, and the changing of the guards there.

Certain parts of the Buckingham Palace are now open to the public, but only in the summer. Since this time we visited London in the last week of December, we could not see the inside of the palace. The changing of the guards take place around 11 a.m. every morning (they do not strictly adhere to time) and the ceremony lasts for about 40 minutes.
