It turned out that I was totally blown away by the beauty of the islands of the Caribbean.

Of the 5 islands that were visited we though Curasol was the most beautiful. This island captured our heart because of the similarities with our island home Jamaica. We loved the construction of the buildings with the bright colors and their Dutch influence.

St. Lucia was second on our list of beautiful islands visited. The mountainous terrain and the lush forestry also reminded us of Jamaica.

Our imagination of Aruba was a lush green Caribbean island with beautiful white beaches. While renting a 4X4 to do some exploration of the island, we wondered why none of them had tops. While driving around the entire island in a mere 3 hours we realized it had practically no rainfall. The dessert mountain was a total surprise and a correction to our imaginations. One advise if visiting Aruba..bring a lot of sunblock.
