9 years gone.........
Hi Guys! last artical which i wrote was when the trip was a year old..... and today again am sitting in front of system writing something when 9 years have passed... just to say hi to everyone.... hi to G4.... that trip was celebration of 10 years of your friendship... and by next year it will be 20 years... and i'll be happy that i was a part of that celebration with all those sweet memories... which is still fresh in our hearts.....CHEERS TO YOU ALL... !!!

overwhelming!!
hi!! thanx to ur photos, i got the first hand experience of what would lie ahead of my journey to Gomukh. along with my friend ajit, i left for gomukh on sept 30th fm delhi n returned on oct 5th. i was overwhelmed to see the majestic sight of gomukh and the bhagiratha spring gushing forth fm a corner beneath it. i was lost in wondering about the creation of god for a long time. i dared to go near the icy wall and touch it. i leaned against it n got snapped. going on a pilgrimage to gomukh needs guts n fitness. it's tiring but worth it. many foreigners are going on trecking. all of us indians should witness it once in a life time. i wish whoeveer reads this comment of mine starts thinking of paying a visit to Gomukh. all the best.

Hi Guys. I went to Gomukh during June 07. Camped at Sirbasa and as well as Bhojbasa. Comparing your films, a lot of change i found. Regarding ur feelings at the lap of Gomukh. I fully agree. Only those who visit there can understand it.

Anniversary…. of the trip
15th November 2001..last year this day..v were all sitting at our final destination-GOMUKH,when someone quoted‘aaj agar mar bhi jaye to koi gam nahin’ a place which was so amazing, fabulous, crazy, heaven, dangerous and..one can keep on adding to it.. ..the land sliding, puja by anshu and pandey at gomukh, those big rocks of ice, our breakfast of kaju, badam, chocolates, namkeen etc at gomukh, the entire mountain of hard ice, playing with crazy ball, that small lake of water which was frozen from the top and v playing on it, the chilling air, the lipgaurd, maggi and chai at cheerbasa, diwali night at bhojbasa, Raju ki fuljhari, soup and alloo paraths from the guest house, little rivers on the way, meri aur raju ki halat.. and..it goes on & on & on.. V still remember every moment of that trip...those 9 days and 8 ngts..i still remember today.. 15nov2002 sitting at a cyber cafe..browsing through our site..writing a comment.. i still remember..

Well, quite a good use of words, you actually feel the exorbitant mountains come alive. You were right Shalini, some places and some things are understood the best when you experience them. But sitting right here in front of the monitor and looking at these pictures and reading the details somehow opens up my vision as to the basic naive nature- come alive! It is nature that always has something to say without saying a word...its nature who somehow awakens you from your dream and teaches you to flow...flow in your life - like a stream. Somehow change as inevitable and unpredictable as the word is has the real meaning to teach with its ever changing dimensions. And when you awake and see a glimpse of this real, unsurpassed and haunting glimpse in a life-time moment, you feel its worth of it all. CHEERS TO THEIR FRIENDSHIP.........
Never ever dreamt of such a thing in life, to visit such a beautiful place, with the guys i hardly knew. I still envy their friendship, but I am thankful to THEM for atleast giving me the honour of being the part of the group (G-3 & GR). The place was no doubt amzingly beautiful, but I know I wouldn’t have enjoyed the way i did with them. They were all celebrating their 10 years of friendship, but i always was involved in all their celebrations, and i don’t think i ever felt as if i was not the part of the group. I agree with Anshuman, where he has written “if u've not been there, u've really MISSED IT. I pity you all..” I still feel PITY for you all who have been there, coz you wouldn’t have enjoyed the way I did.. COZ OF THEM... ones again CHEERS to THEIR friendship.. may GOD bless you all. Great going guys ! It has been well presented and thus acts as a motiivation for others to go to these places. I would only like to point out that nearly every tourist who goes up leaves some of his trash there and thus soon it will no longer be such a beautiful place. We have learn to take care of our heritage and the beautiful mountains we have so that we can enjoy them for a longer time! Please get back all you take up to the mountains on trips like these. Heavenly place.
Beautiful pictures of a heavenly place. I wish you could put some more pictures of Gomukh (I prefer to spell it that way!), and your trek to Gomukh, in your article. I have first hand experience of the Himalayas, but I never had a chance to visit Gomukh -- though I always wanted to.
