The temple of Borobodur is studded with so many bells whereby each & every single bell contains a sitting Buddha as seen in this pic. In fact, that bell on the foreground was opened so as to show how a Buddha inside looks like. Also, if you peek thru the holes of the other bells, all of them does have a sitting Buddha inside. *Another misleading factoid regarding Borobodur are the postcard & photos of it which makes it appear as if it's a big ruin complex when it's really not! Overall, this is the sentiment of most tourists here who's already seen Angkor or Bagan. They're a bit disappointed to see Borobodur to be actually quite small compared to Angkor & Bagan.
