Well, I wrote all of that 'coz a lot of tourists here (who already saw Angkor or Bagan) ends-up a bit disappointed upon seeing the small size of Borobodur as compared to the 2.

Indeed, they're disappointed 'coz they were expecting a big ruin complex (since it's dubbed "the 3rd biggest" by the guidebooks & travel literatures) but eventually finds-out that it's pretty darn small! - A distant 3rd, so to speak.

I guess the travel literatures ought to stop using that title 'coz it's a bit misleading but that's what sells.

And even if that title is quite true (since it's indeed the 3rd biggest Hindu temple in S.E.-Asia), the travel literatures ought to also include the phrase - "a distant 3rd" so that tourists won't be expecting a vast ruin complex like Angkor & Bagan.
