Chankanaab Park Cozumel, Mexico

The best place to Snorkel in Cozumel has to be Chankanaab Park. A state park that charges an entrance fee of $10.00, it is well worth it. The park itself is immaculate, staff cleaning, pruning the plants & racking the grounds. Lockers & showers are available as well as a taxi stand at the entrance. Just a few miles from the Port of Cozumel. A must stop for anyone who wants to Snorkel, Snuba, Scuba Dive or even swim with the Dolphins.

We took our grands on their first cruise ages 9,11 &12. We had a great time but this park was the highlight. We had freedom to do what we wanted, snorkle, hike play traditional instruments and run from the iquanas. It was a great day. Make sure you snorkle in the calm water and remember the buddy system. Don't miss this trip.

Well worth the money. Very clean and very accommodating. We were there last October and are going back this August. It is a must see. The snorkeling is great! The water and beach are beautiful. The people are very friendly.

welcome to the shade
charming huts along the beach are quite a welcome respite from the blazing sun, even in november! water is crystal clear and the abundant sealife are so fascinating to watch. steps in are a bit steep and slippery -hang on to a rail and take your time. great place to swim, sun, snorkel...

This park is absolutly worth the entrance fee. We went swimming with the dolphins here and in jamaica and this experience was much better, there is a lot more time spent with the dolphins and the dolphins are better behaved. We also went snokeling and saw some amazing fish! This park is the place to go.
