<noembed><nolayer><div style="position:absolute; left:0; top:-100; display:none;"> Toledo&#39;s Cathedral<br> Scenery in Toledo picture - The cornerstone of Toledo cathedral was laid in 1226, under Ferdinand III. The great cathedral, which measures almost 120 m in length and 60 m width, was begun by one Master Martin, but is mostly the work of Petrus Petri, who died in 1291. The cathedral has five aisles, and large transepts, with the main chapel enclosed by a double ambulatory. The result is an original concept of space, in which the vertical thrust is much more restrained than in most of the buildings directly inspired by French or Northern influence. </div></nolayer></noembed>
