Bristow Oklahoma Feb 4 2002

I have only been to this town twice and it only about twenty miles from me. Both times my husband was on jury duty. Monday morning Igot up at 6 .a.m. and rode with my husband with my two cameras, my movie ditgal, the reason why there are so many and my still ditgal camera, the clearer pictures.

My great great grandparents Alexander Cockrell and Hannah Kirby Cockrell died in Bristow Oklahoma in 1908 and 1911 while living with their sons Samuel Cockrell and family.

Tulsa Okla one way, and Okla City the other way . Both cities have malls, and anything you want. Sapulpa near by it has Walmart, can't remember only been to Bristow twice, but think it has a Walmart too, not sure though. But we have direct tv, and the Internet in Oklahoma, so there always something to watch on tv or look on the internet,so no reason to bored here, it just like any other town, if I live in NY City , I still stay home and watch direct tv and play on the Internet, and look for a walmart type store. I hadn't rent since 1980, but rent house far as I know at like $600 a month, I am not sure though, because the last house I rent was in Tulsa in 1980 and it was $ 90.00 a month then, it was an old small house.

Military Move
Holy cow, is this where the army is going to make us live for 3 whole years?! I absolutely hate hick towns and places with no resources. Are there even any DECENT houses for rent around there or are we going to have to live on a dirt road in a trailor? This is scarey.

i have lived in bristow all my life. i am 14 yrs old and this town is not that bad. all people see when they come through is just some of the "bad" people. if they would just get to know some then they might like it.

those are good pictures, but when you get off main you get to see the real Brisow. the real Bristow is full of low income housing and a crime rate that is one of the highest in the state per 1000 people. Bristow is one of the worst towns i have ever had to live in and work at, trust me i was a police officer there.
