When you enter the mosque you will be overwhelmed by the immense number of arcades (there used to be 900!!). It is like you walk in a forest of columns. And then, in the centre of this beautiful mosque, the christians have built a cathedral. The contrast between the serenity of the mosque and the excessive decoration of the cathedral is striking.
