San Gimignano, Italy

SAN GIMIGNANO The hill town of San Gimignano was founded around the eighth century. It maintains its medieval appearance and still has 14 of its original fortress-like towers within its walls. The countryside is some of the loveliest in Tuscany.

When you visit Italy's towns, you always walk through because buses are not allowed to drive in most nor park in others except in designated places.

I fell in love under the fairy lights in one of San Gimgnano's magical streets. I walked around with a permanent smile of wonder spread across my face. Piazza delle erbe and the tower up there are not to be missed...take some music up and make a moment you'll never forget...I sure haven't!!

12 members of my family spent Christmas 2002 in Florence. The highlight of my trip was the day I spent in San Gimignano. I was transported back in time and it was awesome. I will go back again to visit that wondrous place.

This is a peaceful town. Sometimes a little too peaceful that is plane boring. I hated my visit if you're thrill seeker I would reccomend not to go here. Thanks! :)

This was my favorite town in Italy (next to Rome of course). The shopping was great, the atmosphere endearing, the food - excellent, the location beautiful. We went back twice. Make it a stop on your tour and you'll thank me again and again and again.
