HuangLong （黄龙）

I proceed to HuangLong from JiuZhaiGou. (http://www.worldisround.com/articles/89530/index.html) I stayed overnight near Songpang and started my next journey to Huanglong at 11:00am after a long breakdown of the car in the morning.

HuangLong ( Yellow Dragon-黄龙 )lies in Songpan County, north-west Sichuan Province, in the southern part of Min Shan Range. The extensive calcite deposition spans along the 3.6km Huanglonggou (Yellow Dragon Gully) with several extensive areas of travertine pools. Algae and bacteria ... (more)

This lone carriage was left behind waiting for customer. I was also...

Snake
Snake formation of the travetine pool is just an amazing sight for me.

Pools
They look like swimming pool.. or spa ,right?

Formation
Another lines and curves formations that attracted me.

Brown
Left over of snow carpet the brown calcite land

Milk
Milky color of the pool as the snow mixed with the clear water.

Track with snow.
The snow started to fall and the tracks were really very slippery with snow .

Finally I reached the top of HL and this was the first sight that caught my...

Trees
Trees with snow at the pool.

Temple afar
Now I could see the roofs of the temple from far away.

Black & White
Everything turned black and white ... so cold now.

Yellow
As I proceed, I saw a changes in color of this pool.. it seems oily and yetit...

yr shots are great I envy you.Managed to visit JZG as we the road was rather slippery after Song Pan and we have to abandone visiting HL...tks for sharing and if at all possible I wud like to see HL next year. tks for sharing again
