The dome ceiling of the Pantheon has a 30' opening and so the Pantheon is constantly opened to the elements. The floor gradually slopes toward the center where rain is caught in drains. It is just amazing that the magnificent artwork in the Pantheon is not ruined - but miraculously, it's not!
