All pictures taken with Olympus C-990 Zoom, Olympus C-2100UZ ,Minolta 5000 AF and Nikon Coolpix 5700 in Kankaanpaa, Finland, by the river Karvianjoki. Kankaanpaa is a small town about 50 kms from Pori and 100 kms from Tampere. Some pictures also from my doggies.

Karvianjoki river begins in Karvia and flows through Kankaanpää to the Gulf of Bothnia. Upstream, there is salmon farming. The river is currently the only place in Finland where the European beaver is found. It is one of the symbol species of our town.Karvianjoki ... (more)
