there are little snack stands all along the trail. every time you walk near one, the owners come running out saying "water? water?, food?" in English. we stopped for noodles and rice at this stand deep in the mountain valley. these little stands seem prepared for just about anything a hiker could want. and every vegetable, bottle of water, and bag of rice is carried in on the back of a porter.
