we arrived in the afternoon, so our first day of hiking only lasted a couple of hours. we stopped at a buddhist nunnery for the evening. 20 yuan for beds ($2.40 U.S.) and 10 yuan for dinner and breakfast ($1.20). of course, it's all vegetarian food, but there's nothing wrong with that.
