As a dear childhood friend who lived south of Munich said, "You've seen the beauty of Germany, now go to see what once was...Dachau." And so, the next day we traveled to Dachau. We were mostly surrounded by young people of many nationalities and it didn't matter what part of the exhibits we were in, there was total absorbtion in what we were seeing and reading and also, total silence. This place will never be forgotten by any of us.
