Lying in the wake of the Levant, Port-Cros and Porquerolles islands, the Embiez are a gem on the Var's coastline. The owner of the island Paul Ricard, the famous inventor of Ricard Pastis, gave this forgotten island a different destiny. Covering almost 100 hectares, this Mediterranean pearl combines wild areas with harmonious development. A large part of the island is covered with vineyards and numerous footpaths for strolling. There is a bus from the Toulon train station (Gare SNCF de Toulon) to Port du Brusc. There are frequent train connections to Toulon from both Marseille and Nice. The closest international airports to Ile des Embiez are Marseille and Nice (the Hyeres airport shown on the map is a tiny Toulon airport that does not have international service).
