Blue Springs is located in the Hammonds Mill State Park west of West Plains, Missouri on State Route CC about 15 miles from town. Located on White River, it is a social gathering place for all ages during summer. The park has camping, picnicing, and fishing areas near the spring and many trails to hike. It is a starting point and pick up area for canoes.

During summer heat and especially holidays the park is packed with parents and children swimming near the picnicing area, with canoes coming and going.
