Copenhagen, a capital of the admirable nation of Denmark, is not unknown tourist destination. Therefore, I will just give my personal impressions on it instead of any general data.

It was in 1995, when I visited Copenhagen first time. I have fallen in love with the mirthful atmosphere of its streets immediately. Crowded but not stressed, this was no kind of abandoned urban scenery as one could expect in northern part of Europe with its cold weather. In the summer, normally you can observe quite a lot of people in the city center, its quays, parks and bars at late night also. I found the local people very nice, communicative and open-minded. Unlike some of their geographical neighbors, I did not find the Danes to be „frozen“ guys. You can discuss with them about nearly everything. As elsewhere in Scandinavia, the favorite dish is the salmon steak. Beer, which fits well with the salmon, is the recommendable drink here in the evening. Copenhagen has also some interesting churches, museums and galleries. Generally said, the city is not very monumental, but it is really charming and I felt there as being „at home“.

My pictures were taken on the first Saturday of July 2004. On that day, I experienced all kind of weather – rainy morning, cloudy midday and quite sunny afternoon. So enjoy them!
