ignorance
Anyone who criticizes these photos is nuts. They are real photos of real people. Yeah, maybe those two women counting their pesos might be Haitian, but they were doing it on the Dominican side of the border. So as far as I am concerned, being TheRealDominican.com, they qualify as Dominicanas. Other than that, I was fortunate to get all around the country, away from the tourist areas. These photos convey that. They are even better because, as time moves on, they accrue more significance.

I visited Sosua in the north coast in the Dominican Republic and I loved this exciting place and other thing. It's not a bad drive, and rental cars are not too expensive, and you'll find dozens of beaches on the way where you can stop and grab some salt water on silky sand and of course you could enjoy the hotel Sosua Bay Beach Resort. it's between Cabarete and Costambar . Dominican Republic
I have traveled several times to the DR, most times to Puerto Plata. I have enjoyed every trip and have had lots of good times. I have met great people that I still talk to and always will appreciate their kindness. It is sad that here in the US people live to work, while in places like the DR is vice a versa. The Dominicans are great people and I hold a special place for them in my Cuban heart. Viva la RD!!! Specially the beautiful women.

Great Photos!
I found your beautiful photos while searching for Haiti. I have not been to DR but it looks like the people there are better off than in Haiti. I saw incredible poverty there, but still came away with some beautiful photos. Several times, people shouted at us for taking their picture if they happened to walk into camera range, then wanted to be paid! I really enjoyed most of the people there, though, very warm and friendly.

I live in the USA and was never interested in some country name the Dominican Republic until I fell in love with a Dominican. Unfortunately he had to go back to his country and didn't know if he would come back or not. I miss him so much and tried to get closer to him by looking up all these websites regarding the island and I must say it is a very beautiful one. The temperature, the people, the culture and.. the food. It is quite similar as the country where I originally come from, which is by the way Suriname. And having done my little research, everything had made me miss my sweetheart and my home country even more.
