But how much of a threat is increased CO2 in the atmosphere aside global warming & the aforementioned problems global warming will cause? Well, ever wonder why we never hear of "Mission to Venus" nowadays unlike "Mission to Mars?" That's because back in the 60's & 70's during the great "Space Race" (which was a derivative of the "Cold War"), the U.S. & the Soviets kept sending probes to Venus so as to study that planet. However, the probes kept getting burned & crushed by the super THICK & HOT Venutian atmosphere made up of CO2 which exerts a pressure of 100 kg./cm2 or even greater. (I forgot the exact numbers). Now that's a whole lot of pressure by an atmosphere! Indeed, the heat & pressure is just so enormous that the 2 super powers simply stopped sending probes there since it'll be just a waste of probes & that we can easily conclude that any kind of life can't exists there.
