The Pacific Coast Highway or Route # 1 is one of the most beautiful scenic drives in California. It took us a whole day to drive from San Luis Obispo to Monterey, not because of the distance but it was so very beautiful we stopped many times, for after each bend in the road another eyecatching scenery made us stop.
