There are 3 mine ruins sites west of town. This is one of them but I'm not sure which. Maybe this is just the ex-hacienda? or both? or maybe the San Baldomero mine ruins? I don't think it's the Augustias mine as I've found pix of that one. To further confuse identification of these west side sites, the Augustias mine is sometimes referred to as the "Augustias Mine of the Cinco Senores Company". Access to this fenced-off site is restricted but there is lots to see from the road. Note that 'cinco senores' means 5 men & refers to the 5 Spanish owners of the mine(s).
